TIRUCHI, India (December 3, 2024) – A team of three first-year MBA students from Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM) in Tiruchi, India, has secured first place globally in the CAPSIM Fall 2024 Foundation Challenge. The team, comprised of R. Muthu Kumaran, T.R. Prasana Subramaniam, and P. Yutesh, and guided by professor R. Subramanian, bested competitors from over 15 countries including Australia, Canada, and the United States.
The CAPSIM Challenge, a simulation-based competition focusing on strategy and consulting, saw participation from leading management institutions worldwide. BIM’s victory has earned the team a place in the CAPSIM Hall of Fame.
BIM Director Asit K. Barma attributed the win to the institution’s significant investment in software and training for experiential learning through business simulations, a core component of their MBA program. He highlighted BIM’s growing reputation as a top business school utilizing simulation-based teaching methodologies.
