**Mumbai, India – December 1, 2024** – Skoda Auto India is set to launch its highly anticipated compact SUV, the Kylaq, tomorrow, December 2nd, 2024. The automaker has already revealed a starting on-road price of Rs 9.07 lakh (Mumbai), positioning the Kylaq aggressively against competitors like the Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet.
The Kylaq boasts a range of features including a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, a sunroof, automatic LED headlamps, powered and ventilated front seats. While it lacks some advanced features like ADAS and a 360-degree camera, its competitive pricing is expected to offset this.
Powering the Kylaq is a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine generating 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque, paired with manual and automatic gearbox options.
Bookings open tomorrow, with deliveries commencing January 27th, 2024. The Kylaq will make its public debut at the Bharat Mobility Show on January 17th, 2024. Skoda is hoping the Kylaq will become a significant player in India’s booming compact SUV market.
