**Mumbai, India** – KEC International, a global infrastructure EPC major, announced today that it has secured new orders worth Rs 10.40 billion (approximately $1.26 billion USD) in its Transmission and Distribution (T&D) business. These international orders include the supply of towers, hardware, and poles in the Americas and 220 kV transmission lines in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

The company’s subsidiary, SAE Towers, secured multiple orders across the USA, Mexico, and Brazil, indicating a strong growth in the American T&D market. This, coupled with the CIS order, significantly bolsters KEC International’s international T&D order book.

Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO of KEC International, expressed delight at the continuous order wins, stating that the year-to-date order intake now surpasses Rs 17,300 crore, representing a remarkable 75% growth compared to the previous year. The company operates in over 30 countries and has a presence in more than 110.

This news follows other announcements, including the Indian government’s efforts to combat substandard steel imports and the MDoNER’s approval of 90 infrastructure projects in the Northeast totaling Rs 34.17 billion. Separately, a Kerala minister highlighted challenges in initiating large-scale projects due to protests and misinformation.
