**Thiruvananthapuram, November 29, 2024** – The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) announced the successful trial run of a new system enabling instant electricity bill payments upon meter reading. Consumers can now settle their bills on the spot using debit/credit cards or mobile payment apps like BHIM, Google Pay, PhonePe, and Paytm via the meter reader’s PDA device. This initiative, implemented in collaboration with Canara Bank, involves no additional charges for consumers. Following a successful trial period in Thiruvananthapuram’s Vellayambalam and Ulloor sections, the KSEB plans to roll out the system statewide.
