Wed Nov 27 17:17:45 UTC 2024: ## Jammu & Kashmir Crushes Arunachal Pradesh in Record-Breaking Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Victory

**Mumbai, India:** Jammu & Kashmir recorded a historic victory in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on Tuesday, defeating Arunachal Pradesh by a staggering margin in a match that lasted a mere 27 balls. Arunachal Pradesh, batting first, was bowled out for a paltry 32 runs in 9.1 overs, the second-lowest total in the tournament’s history.

The collapse was largely due to the exceptional bowling of Jammu & Kashmir’s left-arm spinner, Abid Mushtaq. He claimed four wickets in just seven balls, conceding only two runs in the process. His devastating spell, along with contributions from Rasik Salam (1 wicket), Aqib Nabi (3 wickets), and Yudveer Singh (2 wickets), completely dismantled the Arunachal Pradesh batting line-up. No Arunachal Pradesh batsman managed to score more than five runs.

This defeat marks a new low for Arunachal Pradesh, surpassing only Tripura’s 30 all out in 2009.

Jammu & Kashmir chased down the meager target of 33 runs in a mere 18 balls, a record-breaking victory that leaves 102 balls unused. This surpasses the previous record set in 2009 when Jharkhand defeated Tripura with 100 balls remaining. Kamran Iqbal (10 runs) and Yudveer Singh (21 runs) steered Jammu & Kashmir to victory with a quickfire partnership.

The match, played at the Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy BKC Stadium in Mumbai, will be remembered for its astonishing brevity and Jammu & Kashmir’s dominant performance.
