The 2019 election saw a BJP victory, with Prakash Gunwantrao Bharsakale securing the seat. He is once again contesting for the BJP, this time as the Mahayuti (grand alliance) candidate. However, he faces a strong challenge from several key contenders.
This year’s election sees a diverse field of candidates, including Gangane Mahesh Sudhakarrao representing the Congress and the Maha Vikas Agadhi (MVA) alliance. Captain Sunil Dobale is representing the MNS, while Sujata Vidyasagar Wankhade is contesting for the BSP.
