Sat Nov 23 08:54:15 UTC 2024: **Jitan Ram Manjhi Predicts NDA Sweep in Jharkhand, Maharashtra, and Bihar By-elections**

Bodhgaya, Bihar – Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has predicted a resounding victory for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the recently concluded Jharkhand Assembly elections, the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, and the Bihar by-elections for four assembly seats. Speaking in Bodhgaya, Manjhi acknowledged that exit polls are not always accurate but expressed confidence in an NDA win in Jharkhand, stating that even a slight dip in vote share would still likely result in an NDA government due to popular support for a “double-engine” government (referencing the BJP’s governance at both the state and central levels). He similarly forecast an NDA victory in Maharashtra.

Regarding the Bihar by-elections, Manjhi predicted an NDA win in all four seats, although he acknowledged a potentially tighter contest in Ramgarh due to a three-cornered fight. He dismissed concerns regarding allegations against Adani Group, stating that accusations are one thing, but the specific allegations didn’t make sense to him. He also commented on the absence of his name from an event featuring Union Minister Nitin Gadkari at Magadh University, suggesting it may have been an oversight due to protocol, or possibly due to his status as a Dalit.

Manjhi also addressed Baba Dhirendra Shastri’s padyatra, stating that the Indian Constitution does not permit the creation of a Hindu Rashtra and that all actions must be within the framework of the Constitution.

The Jharkhand election results are expected to be announced on Saturday.
