**PUTTAPARTHI, INDIA** – The Satya Sai Seva Organizations (SSSO) has launched a new safe drinking water project in Nepal, bringing clean water to thousands of people. The project, the ninth of its kind in Nepal, was inaugurated online by R.J. Ratnakar, Managing Trustee of the Satya Sai Trust, from Sai Kulwant Mandir in Puttaparthi. The initiative, launched during Satya Sai Jayanti celebrations, addresses the challenges faced by rural Nepalese communities and students who previously had to walk kilometers for potable water.
The project, costing crores of rupees, will provide safe drinking water to approximately 4,000 students and 2,000 residents through a newly installed extensive pipeline network. Ratnakar highlighted the selfless service rendered by the SSSO globally, emphasizing their commitment to aiding the underprivileged. He praised the Nepal branch for its dedication to the philosophy of “Manava Seva Madhava Seva” (service to humanity is service to God), as taught by Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
In addition to the project launch, Ratnakar also conferred graduation certificates to students who completed the Satya Sai Youth Empowerment program. A cultural performance showcasing the teachings and spiritual philosophy of Sai Baba was also held. The SSSO plans to expand its social service initiatives further in the future.
