**Puttaparthi, [Date]:** The Satya Sai University celebrated its 43rd convocation ceremony on Friday at the Purnchandra Auditorium in Prasanthi Nilayam. The event, traditionally held around the Jayanti celebrations of Sathya Sai Baba, saw the awarding of gold medals, doctorates, and degrees to graduating students.
National Science Foundation Director Sethuraman Panchanathan, the chief guest, addressed the graduating class, urging them to embrace challenges and cultivate ten key qualities: Conviction, Curiosity, Confidence, Convergence, Collaboration, Change, Commitment, Communication, Conduit, and Character. He emphasized the importance of these qualities in navigating life’s journey.
Vice-Chancellor Raghavendra Prasad highlighted the university’s role as a model Gurukul, blending ancient Indian culture with modernity to provide value-based education free of cost. He also noted the impressive 49% pass rate of students in national-level examinations and detailed various research initiatives in areas like nature, health, and conservation.
The ceremony commenced with Vedic recitations by students and included a screening of old photographs of Sathya Sai Baba. A total of 463 students received degrees, with several students receiving gold medals and doctorates. The event was attended by numerous dignitaries including the Managing Trustee R.J. Ratnakar, Chancellor Chakravarthi, and Trust members.
