NEW DELHI, INDIA – November 21, 2024 – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the exam schedule for the 2025 Class 10 and 12 board exams, a full 86 days ahead of the exams—an unprecedented move designed to give students more preparation time. The exams will run concurrently, beginning February 15th, 2025. Class 10 exams conclude March 18th, while Class 12 exams finish April 4th.
CBSE Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj emphasized the schedule’s design to accommodate the 40,000+ subject combinations, ensuring no student has conflicting exam times. Sufficient time between exams allows for effective revision, and the early conclusion of the Class 12 exams prioritizes preparation for subsequent entrance examinations.
The CBSE has offered advice for students, recommending a structured approach to studying, prioritizing early exams, creating detailed study plans, and utilizing sample papers for practice. Revision is stressed as crucial, with a recommendation to complete the syllabus a month in advance.
