**MUMBAI –** BMW India has confirmed the arrival of the highly anticipated M5 in the Indian market, priced at ₹1.99 crore (ex-showroom). The powerful sedan boasts a 727 hp V8 engine with M xDrive all-wheel drive and an M Hybrid system. However, this exciting news is tempered by an announcement of a 3 percent price increase across BMW’s entire model range, effective January 1st, 2025.
The price hike will affect both locally assembled models such as the 2 Series Gran Coupe, 3 Series Long Wheelbase, and X5, and completely built-up units (CBUs) including the i4, i7 M70, and M4 Competition. The M5 itself falls under the CBU category.
