The proposed joint committee, modeled after a similar one in Kerala, will serve as a forum to address industry concerns. It will comprise representatives from the Telangana government, including the special chief secretary for industries, and CII leaders.

Minister Babu also revealed that a new GCC policy is imminent, aiming to solidify Hyderabad’s position as a leading hub for Global Capability Centres, particularly in life sciences and BFSI sectors. Further, new IT and industries policies will be launched shortly. He suggested that industries consider relocating older units outside the city, with government assistance offered for relocation.
