**Bengaluru, November 21, 2024** – The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, through its Foundation for Science, Innovation and Development (FSID), today launched Pravriddhi, a nationwide product accelerator program. This initiative aims to boost India’s manufacturing sector and contribute to the nation’s ambitious “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision of a $30 trillion GDP by 2047.

Pravriddhi will foster collaboration between Indian enterprises, academic institutions, research labs, and investors to develop innovative products. By leveraging IISc’s research expertise and resources, and establishing innovation hubs across the country, the program seeks to drive market-driven, design-led manufacturing and enhance India’s global competitiveness.

IISc Director, Prof. Govindan Rangarajan, stated that Pravriddhi will provide access to world-class facilities and a robust network of strategic partners, empowering diverse industries and fostering sustained economic growth. The program intends to contribute significantly to the government’s goal of achieving 25% GDP growth from the manufacturing sector by 2047.
