**Hyderabad, November 18, 2024** – The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) Group-III examination commenced today, aiming to fill 1,363 junior assistant and other posts across various state departments. The two-day exam, spread across 1,401 centers in all 33 districts, began with a morning session focusing on general studies and general ability.
Preliminary attendance figures reveal a 51.1% turnout for the first paper, with 273,847 candidates appearing. This represents a lower participation rate than the 76.4% who downloaded hall tickets. While Adilabad and Kumram Bheem Asifabad districts reported the highest attendance (64.5% and 62.5% respectively), Hyderabad saw the lowest at 41.1%. The afternoon session, covering history, polity, and society, also saw a similar overall attendance rate of 50.7%. The final paper on Monday will focus on economy and development.
