**Centurion, South Africa:** India secured a series victory against South Africa in the third and final T20I match, defeating the hosts by 11 runs. The match saw a significant milestone achieved by Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh, who became India’s second-highest wicket-taker in men’s T20 Internationals.
Arshdeep now holds a record of 92 wickets in 59 T20I innings, with an impressive economy rate of 8.34 and an average of 18.47. This accomplishment places him just four wickets away from surpassing Yuzvendra Chahal to become India’s top T20I wicket-taker. He surpassed both Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in this match.
India’s strong batting performance saw Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma lead the charge, scoring a phenomenal 219/6 in the first innings. The South African bowling attack, led by Andile Simelane and Keshav Maharaj, managed to claim two wickets each.
Despite a valiant effort from Heinrich Klaasen and Marco Jansen, the Proteas fell short of their target. Arshdeep Singh played a crucial role in the victory, picking up three vital wickets and conceding only 37 runs in his four-over spell. Varun Chakaravarthy also contributed with two wickets.
Tilak Varma was named the “Player of the Match” for his outstanding batting performance.
