**Patna:** The inauguration of the new All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Darbhanga is a historic gift for Mithila, stated Sanjay Kumar Jha, National Executive President of the Janata Dal (United).

With the establishment of AIIMS in Darbhanga, people from North Bihar will no longer have to travel outside the state for quality healthcare, Jha said. He also highlighted the inauguration and laying of foundation stones for various projects worth ₹12,000 crore by the Prime Minister. These include projects in healthcare, roads, railways, and energy sectors, which he believes will further boost the pace of development in Bihar.

Jha expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for their contribution to the development of Bihar.
