Wed Nov 13 08:55:17 UTC 2024: ## Mumbai-Mangaluru Superfast Express to Get LHB Coaches in March 2025
**Mangaluru, November 13, 2024:** The Central Railway has announced that the Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Mangaluru Junction Superfast Express will be upgraded with LHB (Linke-Hofmann Busch) coaches starting March 2025.
The change will affect both the Train No. 12133 (Mumbai CSMT-Mangaluru Junction Superfast Express) and its return service, Train No. 12134 (Mangaluru Junction-Mumbai CSMT Superfast Express). The former will receive the new LHB rake on March 1, while the latter will be equipped with the upgraded coaches on March 2.
The existing train composition includes 17 coaches, consisting of two second class luggage-cum-brake vans, two general second class, one 2-tier AC and 3-tier AC composite, seven sleeper class, four 3-tier AC and one 2-tier AC coach.
After the upgrade, the train will have a total of 16 coaches, comprising two 2-tier AC, three 3-tier AC, five second class sleeper, four general second class, and one each luggage-cum-brake van and break van.
The LHB coaches are known for their improved safety features, enhanced passenger comfort, and modern amenities. This upgrade is expected to significantly enhance the travel experience for passengers on the Mumbai-Mangaluru route.
