Tue Nov 12 11:09:01 UTC 2024: ## Wedding Season Booms: 68 Auspicious Muhurats Expected This Year
**Pune, India:** The wedding season is set to experience a massive surge this year, with 68 auspicious marriage dates (“Muhurats”) predicted between November 2023 and June 2025. This comes after two years of subdued celebrations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The auspicious period begins after the “Tulsi Vivah,” the symbolic marriage of the Tulsi plant to Lord Krishna, which falls on the 12th of November this year. This marks the end of the “Chaturmas” period, a four-month period considered inauspicious for weddings.
“This year, we have a high number of auspicious days for weddings, especially between November and March,” said astrologer Sahadeva Gurv, who predicts the Muhurats based on Vedic tradition. He expects a significant surge in weddings, especially during April, May, and June, with 26 auspicious dates lined up.
The increased number of Muhurats is expected to boost the economy, particularly in sectors related to weddings. “We’re expecting a huge surge in business,” shared a local wedding planner. “From mandap decorations to clothing, jewelry, and electronics, many businesses are looking forward to a prosperous year.”
The wedding season is also a significant time for traditional Hindu families, with elaborate celebrations marking the union of two families. Gurv advises couples to plan their weddings during these auspicious days for a blessed and successful future.
