**VILLUPURAM, November 10, 2024:** A Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) functionary, identified as G. Atchuthan, was severely injured after being attacked by a gang in Seshanganur, near Kandamangalam, on Saturday night.
Atchuthan, an employee of a private company in Thirubhuvanai, Puducherry, was returning home from work when he was intercepted by a group on a motorcycle. The assailants assaulted him, leaving him with cut injuries on his legs. He was subsequently rushed to a private hospital in Chennai.
Police suspect that the attack was motivated by previous enmity. They have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
