Sun Nov 10 12:12:41 UTC 2024: ## Pakistan Clinches ODI Series in Australia with Thrilling Win

**Perth, Australia:** Pakistan secured a historic victory against Australia in the third and final ODI of the series, defeating the World Champions 2-1. This is Pakistan’s first ODI series win in Australia since 2002.

The match, played at Perth Stadium on Sunday, saw Pakistan elect to bowl first after winning the toss. Australia’s playing eleven featured five changes, including the inclusion of Lance Morris, Cooper Connolly, Marcus Stoinis, Sean Abbott, and Spencer Johnson.

Australia struggled throughout their innings, being bundled out for a paltry 140 runs in 31.5 overs. Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah were the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan, claiming three wickets each.

Chasing a modest target of 141, Pakistan’s opening pair, Abdullah Shafique (37) and Sam Ayub (42), provided a solid foundation. The duo added 84 runs before falling in quick succession to a spirited spell by Lance Morris.

Despite the early setbacks, Pakistan cruised to victory in 26.5 overs, losing only two wickets. Captain Mohammad Rizwan (30*) and Babar Azam (28*) saw their team home with a comfortable margin.

This series victory is a significant milestone for Pakistan, demonstrating their resilience and adaptability. The two teams will now square off in a three-match T20I series, starting on November 14th.
