**New Delhi, India (October 26, 2024):** Maruti Suzuki has created a buzz in the Indian automotive market with the upcoming launch of the fourth-generation Dzire on November 11th. The new Dzire has achieved a remarkable feat by becoming the first-ever Maruti Suzuki car to receive a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP.
While official details are expected to be released in the next few days, early information suggests that the new Dzire will be available in four trims: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi Plus. The compact sedan boasts both exterior and interior changes, and will be powered by the same Z-Series petrol engine found in the Swift, with transmission options carried over from the previous generation.
The new Dzire is expected to be priced similarly to the current model, with the base variant starting around Rs 6.56 lakh and the top-end variant priced at approximately Rs 10 lakh.
**Under the Hood:**
The new Dzire is powered by a 1.2L, 3-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine producing 82PS of power and 112Nm of torque. A CNG variant will also be available, offering 70PS of power and 102Nm of torque. Both manual and AMT gearboxes will be offered, with fuel efficiencies of 24.79 km/l and 25.71 km/l for the petrol variants and 33.73 km/kg for the CNG variant.
**Interior and Features:**
The interior of the new Dzire is inspired by the Swift, with a focus on comfort and convenience. The top-end trim offers features like a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Arkamys sound system, leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, a 360-degree camera, cruise control, and a coloured MID. All variants will feature a dual-tone black and beige interior with fabric seat upholstery for the base variant.
**Safety Features:**
The new Dzire prioritizes safety with all variants coming equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, an electronic stability program, reverse parking sensors, Isofix child seat mounts, hill hold assist, seatbelt reminders, three-point seatbelts for all seats, and a rear defogger. The ZXi trim and above offer a reverse parking camera and tire pressure monitoring system.
