Fri Nov 08 07:34:23 UTC 2024: ## Hero Unveils XPulse 421 Concept, Targeting Adventure Motorcycle Market

Hero MotoCorp, India’s leading motorcycle manufacturer, has unveiled the concept sketches of its new adventure bike, the XPulse 421, at the EICMA 2024 motorcycle show. The XPulse 421 is a significant departure from the current XPulse 210, built on a new trellis frame and featuring a completely redesigned, bold, and tall aesthetic.

The new ADV boasts an angular headlight, long-travel USD fork, monoshock rear suspension, a tall windscreen, upswept rear section, and a single-piece seat. It is equipped with spoke wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tires, making it appear like a true adventure motorcycle.

Power is expected to come from a 421 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, generating around 43 to 45 hp. The XPulse 421 is equipped with disc brakes at both ends.

Hero has incorporated input from its Dakar Rally team riders into the design and performance aspects of the XPulse 421. It will come with features like a TFT display, switchable ABS, potentially traction control, and ride-by-wire.

While only concept sketches were presented at EICMA, the XPulse 421 is currently undergoing testing, and test mules have been spotted on multiple occasions.

Hero plans to launch the XPulse 421 in late 2025 or early 2026, targeting direct competition against the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the new KTM 390 ADV R.
