Thu Nov 07 07:33:41 UTC 2024: ## Skoda Kylaq: Affordable SUV Ready to Take on India
Skoda Auto India unveiled its new sub-four-meter SUV, the Kylaq, earlier today. The brand announced the starting price for the entry-level variant at Rs. 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Skoda’s most affordable offering in the Indian market.
The Kylaq will be officially launched on December 2nd, when Skoda will reveal variant-wise prices and open bookings. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on January 27th, 2025. The Kylaq will be showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, offering the public a chance to see the car in person.
The Kylaq is the third Skoda model to be based on the MQB-A0-IN platform, which also underpins some Volkswagen models. It boasts a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 114bhp and 178Nm of torque, paired with six-speed manual and automatic transmission options.
The Kylaq promises a range of features, including all-LED lighting, split headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, black roof rails, a virtual cockpit, electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, six airbags, connected car technology, and ambient lighting.
The Kylaq aims to compete with popular SUVs like the Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 3XO. Its affordability and feature-rich offering will make it a strong contender in the growing Indian SUV market.
