**Hyderabad, November 6, 2024** – The Telangana government is preparing for a massive paddy procurement exercise this season, aiming to procure a record 91 lakh tonnes from farmers, with a special focus on ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

The state is expecting a record paddy yield of 1.5 crore tonnes this kharif season, benefiting an estimated 10.15 lakh farmers. Minister for Civil Supplies and Irrigation, N. The government also announced plans to distribute fine-quality rice to all ration cardholders in the state, starting next year.

The Minister instructed officials to maintain stringent quality control during transportation, ensuring that paddy is handled carefully to prevent moisture-related damage. He emphasized that procurement centers are equipped with dryers and cleaners to maintain the quality of the paddy brought in.
