**Vijayawada, November 5, 2024:** The Andhra Pradesh government has outlined ambitious plans to bolster the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, aiming to create an entrepreneur in every family and achieve a 15% annual growth rate.
Speaking at the curtain-raiser event for the ‘Business Expo 2024’ in Vijayawada, MSME Minister Kondapalli Srinivas highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs. He emphasized the provision of land at initial rates and efforts to address issues facing industrial areas like Auto Nagars and Mallavalli Industrial Park.
The minister also announced plans to establish incubation centres and a virtual workplace policy with incentives for remote work setups.
The Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation (A.P. Chambers), organizers of the Business Expo, lauded the government’s recent policies and urged further support for MSMEs. President Potluri Bhaskara Rao requested the establishment of an MSME Facilitation Centre in each district and a revamp of the District Industries Centres. He also stressed the need to reduce production costs, especially input costs like fuel, power, and raw materials.
Nandani Salaria, CEO of the Andhra Pradesh MSME Development Corporation, acknowledged the state’s potential for growth and the need to bridge the skill gap. She highlighted the government’s initiatives to enhance skill availability.
The ‘Business Expo 2024’, scheduled for November 29 to December 1 in Vijayawada, will serve as a platform to promote MSMEs and business enterprises in the state. Over 150 exhibitors from sectors including manufacturing, automobiles, food processing, tourism, hospitality, infrastructure, and real estate are expected to participate.
