The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has released the admit cards for the Common Admission Test (CAT 2024) today, November 5th. Candidates who have registered for the exam can download their admit cards from the official website (iimcat.ac.in) using their login credentials.
CAT 2024 is scheduled to be held on November 24th across various cities in India. This exam is conducted for admission to postgraduate, fellowship, and doctoral-level business programs at IIMs and other top business schools across the country.
The CAT exam consists of three sections: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, Verbal Reading Comprehension, and Quantitative Aptitude. The question paper will feature both multiple-choice questions and type-in-the-answer (TITA) questions. The total score for the exam is 198 marks.
The CAT score is accepted by 21 IIMs and over a thousand other MBA institutes. Some notable non-IIM B-schools accepting the score include FMS Delhi, (SJMSoM) IIT Bombay, MDI Gurgaon, DOMS IIT Delhi, and SPJIMR Mumbai.
Last year, over 3.28 lakh candidates registered for CAT, with 2.88 lakh appearing for the exam. There was a significant rise in applications for MBA entrance exams in 2023, with CAT registrations increasing by 30%, SNAP by 25%, and MAT by 18% compared to 2022.
Candidates are advised to download their admit cards at the earliest and familiarize themselves with the exam pattern, test centers, and other relevant information mentioned on the admit card.
