**Mumbai, India:** The third and final Test match of the series between India and New Zealand is heading towards a thrilling conclusion with the Kiwis holding a commanding lead. At the end of day three’s play at the Wankhede Stadium, New Zealand has established a 143-run lead over India.

The hosts were bundled out for 263 in their first innings after a fighting performance. New Zealand, in their first innings, managed 235 runs.

On day two, the Kiwis continued their dominance, reaching 171/9 at stumps. Will Young, with a half-century, was the top scorer for New Zealand. Ravindra Jadeja (4 wickets) and Ravichandran Ashwin (3 wickets) were the pick of the Indian bowlers.

India’s batting woes continued on day three as they lost wickets in quick succession. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and Yashasvi Jaiswal all fell within the first 18 runs, putting India on the back foot.

The Indian bowlers, however, put up a fight, but New Zealand managed to add another 174 runs in their second innings before being bowled out. India needs 147 runs to win the match.

The match is finely poised with both teams having chances to win the match. India needs a strong performance from their batting line-up while New Zealand will be looking to wrap things up early on day four.
