Sun Nov 03 06:05:25 UTC 2024: ## Kohli Run Out in Last Over, India Faces Tight Situation Against New Zealand

**Mumbai:** India found themselves in a tight spot on the first day of the third and final test against New Zealand, losing three crucial wickets in the last over. After restricting the hosts to 235 runs in the first innings, India’s top order crumbled, leading to a dramatic turn of events.

Virat Kohli’s run out in the final over proved to be a major blow for the team. The incident, which saw Kohli dive desperately for the crease but fail to make it, went viral on social media. This marks the first time Kohli has been run out in a test match in India.

Adding to India’s woes, the team lost three key wickets in the last two overs – Yashasvi Jaiswal (30), Mohammed Siraj (0), and Kohli (4). The team now faces a deficit of 149 runs.

Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja attributed the loss of wickets to miscommunication and poor judgment. He stated, “It was an unexpected turn of events. Miscommunication and misjudgment led to the situation. Everything happened within 10 minutes. We are still 149 runs behind. Our goal for the second day is to score at least 230 runs.”

India will need a strong performance on the second day to salvage the match and avoid a series loss.
