**Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir:** A grenade attack targeting a bustling Sunday market in Srinagar has left at least a dozen people injured, prompting widespread condemnation. The attack occurred earlier today, with the injured being rushed to local hospitals for treatment.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed his deep concern over the incident, stating on social media that there can be no justification for targeting innocent civilians. He urged the security forces to act swiftly to end the recent surge in attacks and restore peace.

This latest incident follows a series of gunfights between terrorists and security personnel in the valley over the past few days. Yesterday, a Lashkar-e-Toiba commander, identified as Usman, was killed in an encounter in Srinagar’s Khanyar area. Four security personnel were also injured during the operation.

Earlier in the day, two terrorists were killed in an encounter in Anantnag district. The recent escalation in violence has left the region on edge, raising concerns about the safety and security of its citizens.
