**New Delhi, November 1:** Renowned economist and author Bibek Debroy passed away today, leaving behind a legacy of immense contributions to India’s economic growth, governance, and cultural understanding.

Debroy, widely considered one of India’s leading economists, served as Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council and was a former member of the NITI Aayog.
