**New Delhi, India:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday mourned the passing of Narayan “Bhulai Bhai”, a long-time BJP worker and prominent figure in Indian politics and social service. In a social media post, PM Modi described Bhulai Bhai as an invaluable contributor to politics and social service, noting his decades-long dedication to the BJP and his public welfare efforts.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed condolences, stating that Bhulai Bhai’s commitment to the country and cultural nationalism inspired generations of young people. He fondly remembered Bhulai Bhai’s enthusiasm for ideology and nationalism during their interactions.
Bhulai Bhai, who joined the Jansangh in 1952, had worked alongside the party’s founders, Deen Dayal Upadhyay and Syama Prasad Mookerjee. He served as an MLA from the Jansangh in 1974 and 1977.
PM Modi had previously acknowledged Bhulai Bhai’s contributions during the COVID-19 lockdown, calling upon citizens to care for their elders.
