**New Delhi, October 30, 2024:** A historic moment was marked today as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced the results for the CA Intermediate exam. This year, all three top rankers are women, a powerful sign of the changing landscape in the profession.

**Mumbai’s Parimi Umesh Parekh** topped the exam with 80.67 percent, followed by **Tanya Gupta** from Chennai (76.50 percent) and **Vidhi Jain** from Delhi (73.50 percent).

Former ICAI President Dhiraj Khandelwal highlighted this trend on X, stating that the number of women in ICAI’s membership is currently around 30 percent and is expected to reach 50 percent in the next five years. He noted the significant growth in female membership, from just 8,000 in 2008 to over 125,000 today.

Khandelwal also urged those who have passed the CA Intermediate exam and are seeking articleship to register for the CA Final exam by October 31st to ensure a smooth transition into their articleship. This early registration, according to Khandelwal, will provide students preparing for the CA Final exams an additional six months to prepare.

The ICAI has also announced the exam dates for January 2025. The Foundation Course exam will be held on January 12th, 14th, 16th, and 18th, while the Intermediate Course exam will be held on January 11th, 13th, and 15th for Group I, and January 17th, 19th, and 21st for Group II.
