Melbourne: Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has revealed that former Indian captain Virat Kohli blocked him on Instagram! The two, who share a close bond while playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, did not have the smoothest of starts to their friendship.
Speaking to the media, Maxwell recounted the incident, stating that he attempted to follow Kohli on Instagram, only to find himself blocked. The reason behind the block, according to Maxwell, was a playful incident during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in India.
During the Ranchi Test, Kohli was suffering from a shoulder injury. Maxwell, in a humorous attempt to mimic Kohli, placed his hand on his right shoulder and pretended to be in pain. This prank, apparently, did not go down well with Kohli, leading him to block Maxwell on the platform.
Despite the playful incident, Maxwell and Kohli have since developed a strong bond. Their camaraderie on and off the field is evident, especially during their shared stint with RCB. This lighthearted revelation adds another layer of humour to the already engaging relationship between the two players.
