**BOSTON** – The Boston Celtics continued their dominant start to the season, defeating the Milwaukee Bucks 119-108 on Monday night. Payton Pritchard led the charge for the Celtics, scoring 28 points off the bench, including a scorching 8-of-12 performance from beyond the arc.
Jaylen Brown led all scorers with 30 points, while Jayson Tatum added 15 points and 8 rebounds for the undefeated Celtics (4-0). Derrick White contributed 13 points and 8 assists.
Despite a valiant effort from Damian Lillard (33 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (30 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists), the Bucks fell to their third straight loss after a season-opening victory.
The game remained close until late in the third quarter, when Pritchard’s 3-pointer with 0.4 seconds left put Boston ahead 90-82. The Celtics then went on a decisive 18-2 run spanning the final two minutes of the third and the opening of the fourth quarter, extending their lead to 15 points.
The Celtics’ penchant for 3-point shooting was on full display once again, as they connected on 18 of 47 attempts from beyond the arc.
The Bucks will look to rebound on Thursday when they visit Memphis to conclude their three-game road trip. The Celtics will travel to Indiana for their next game on Wednesday.
