**New Delhi, October 22** – President Droupadi Murmu emphasized the need for enhanced collaboration between India and Singapore’s defence research and development teams during a meeting with Singapore’s Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday.

President Murmu highlighted the strong bilateral relationship between the two nations, noting the recent visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Singapore and the successful conclusion of the second India-Singapore ministerial roundtable meeting. She expressed satisfaction over the elevation of the relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership.

The President also stressed the importance of sharing expertise and technological advancements in the defence sector through closer collaboration between the research and development teams of both countries.

President Murmu congratulated Singapore for its successful co-hosting of the inaugural ASEAN-India maritime exercise and extended her best wishes to the armed forces of both nations for upcoming joint exercises.
