Thu Oct 17 16:41:59 UTC 2024: ## UGC NET 2024 Result Declared: Cut-Offs Released, Concerns Remain

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has finally released the results for the UGC NET 2024 June exam, much to the relief of candidates who had been eagerly awaiting them. Along with the results, the agency has also published subject-wise cut-off marks.

The UGC NET exam is crucial for aspiring Assistant Professors in colleges and universities across India. It also serves as a qualifying exam for Junior Research Fellowships (JRFs) and PhD admissions. This year, the June exam saw 9,08,580 candidates take the exam across 1,205 centres.

The exam, however, was marred by controversy after allegations of malpractice surfaced. The NTA, subsequently, decided to cancel the June exam and conduct a re-examination between August 21 and September 4. The results, initially scheduled for September, were delayed further, causing considerable anxiety amongst the candidates.

The UGC finally announced the release of the results on October 18th but surprisingly, they were released a day earlier. Candidates can now access their results on the NTA website: https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/

While the results are now available, the controversies surrounding the exam, including concerns about potential irregularities, remain. It remains to be seen whether the NTA will address these issues effectively and take steps to prevent similar situations in the future.
