An Air India flight traveling from Delhi to Chicago was forced to make an emergency landing in Iqaluit, Canada on Tuesday after a bomb threat was reported online. The flight, AI127, was diverted as a precautionary measure following the threat.
Air India confirmed the incident in a statement, stating that the aircraft and passengers are being re-screened according to security protocol. The airline has also activated agencies at the airport to assist passengers until they can resume their journey.
This incident comes a day after two IndiGo flights, one headed to Muscat and another to Jeddah, also received bomb threats while departing from Mumbai on Monday. Authorities are investigating both incidents.
