**Dubai, UAE:** The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the induction of three legendary cricketers into its Hall of Fame during the ongoing Women’s T20 World Cup in UAE. The inductees include South Africa’s AB de Villiers, England’s Alastair Cook, and India’s Neetu David.
De Villiers, renowned for his 360-degree batting style, joins the Hall of Fame as its 115th inductee. With a career spanning 14 years, he accumulated over 20,000 runs across all formats, including 8765 runs in 114 Tests at an average of 50.
Cook, the second highest run-scorer in Test cricket for England, becomes the 113th inductee. His 12-year career saw him score 12472 runs in 161 Tests at an average of 45.
Neetu David, the second Indian woman to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame, becomes the 114th member. A veteran of Indian women’s cricket, David played 97 ODIs and 10 Tests, taking 141 ODI and 41 Test wickets. Notably, she was the first Indian woman to reach 100 ODI wickets. Her illustrious career spanned 13 years from 1995 to 2008.
The induction ceremony for the three new Hall of Famers will be held during the latter stages of the ongoing T20 World Cup. This prestigious recognition further solidifies the legacy of these iconic cricketers who have left an indelible mark on the world of cricket.
