**Vizianagaram:** The grand Sirimanotsavam of Sri Paiditalli Ammavari, a revered deity in Vizianagaram, commenced on Tuesday with much fanfare.
The procession started from the deity’s main temple, Chadargud, with the Sirimanu (sacred chariot) adorned with the idol of the goddess. The chariot was accompanied by a decorated chariot, a white elephant, and adorned with a milk shower and a garland of flowers.
The Sirimanu procession will traverse through the city, culminating at the Vizianagaram Gajapathi Fort. Prominent political leaders were seen paying their respects to the goddess.
This annual festival is celebrated with great devotion and fervor by the locals. The Sirimanotsavam is a significant religious event, attracting thousands of devotees from across the region.
