Hyderabad: Telugu film actor Nara Rohit is all set to take the plunge into married life. The actor got engaged to his ‘Pratinidhi 2’ co-star, Shirisha (Siri), on Sunday, October 14th, in a lavish ceremony held at the Novotel Hotel in Hyderabad.
The bride-to-be, Shirisha, hails from a humble farming family in Renthachintala. She is the youngest daughter of Nageshwara Rao, who migrated from Daidaku in Palnadu district to Renthachintala 30 years ago. Nageshwara Rao, a farmer, worked hard to provide his four daughters with quality education.
Shirisha pursued higher education in Australia and worked there for a while before her passion for cinema led her to Hyderabad. After coming to Hyderabad, she began her acting career, landing the role of the heroine in ‘Pratinidhi 2’, starring Nara Rohit. The couple, who fell in love on the sets of the movie, decided to get married.
The engagement ceremony was a star-studded affair, with prominent political and film personalities in attendance. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his wife Lakshmi Parvati graced the occasion and blessed the couple. The event was also graced by AP Minister Nara Lokesh, his wife Brahmani, and their son Devanth, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Vasundhara, Visakha MP Bharat and his wife Tejaswini, and actor Sri Vishnu and his wife.
The engagement ceremony was meticulously planned and overseen by Nara Bhuvaneshwari.
Nara Rohit, who made his debut in 2009 with ‘Banam’, rose to fame with films like ‘Solo’, ‘Okkadine’, ‘Pratinidhi’, ‘Roudh Fellow’, ‘Asura’, ‘Jyo Achyutananda’, ‘Samathanamani’, and ‘Balakrishna’. After a six-year gap, he returned to the silver screen this year with ‘Pratinidhi 2’.
The wedding date of Nara Rohit and Shirisha is yet to be announced.
