Fri Oct 11 14:53:18 UTC 2024: ## Delhi CM Kejriwal Evicted From Official Residence: AAP
**New Delhi:** The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the Delhi Lieutenant Governor, Vinai Saxena, of evicting Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from his official residence at the behest of the BJP. The move marks the first instance in history where a sitting Chief Minister has been evicted from their official residence.
The AAP released footage showing boxes and other belongings being removed from the 6, Flagstaff Road bungalow, which Kejriwal moved into last Monday. They claim that the LG’s office is acting on the BJP’s instructions and has not yet responded to the allegations.
The central government argues that Kejriwal has been allotted another residence at AB-17, Mathura Road, and should have vacated the 6, Flagstaff Road bungalow. However, the BJP alleges that the bungalow has not been officially handed over to the Public Works Department (PWD).
Adding to the controversy, Delhi Assembly Opposition Leader Vijender Gupta revealed a letter from the PWD stating that former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s belongings remain in the AB-17 bungalow. The AAP has accused the BJP of attempting to seize the bungalow.
The AAP maintains that the AB-17 residence was allotted to Kejriwal after he was appointed Minister in the Arvind Kejriwal government.
This incident further intensifies the ongoing political tussle between the BJP and the AAP in Delhi.
