Fri Oct 04 05:53:15 UTC 2024: ## PM Modi to Inaugurate Development Projects Worth Over Rs 56,000 Crore in Maharashtra
**Thane, Maharashtra:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Maharashtra on Saturday, October 5th, to launch a slew of development initiatives worth over Rs 56,000 crore. The visit, coinciding with the upcoming state assembly elections, will see the Prime Minister inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various projects across Thane and Washim districts.
The PM will kickstart his day by inaugurating the Banjara Virasat Museum in Washim, celebrating the heritage of the Banjara community. He will then launch agricultural and animal husbandry projects worth Rs 23,300 crore.
Later, in Thane, Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth over Rs 32,800 crore. These include:
* **BKC-Aarey JVLR section of Mumbai Metro Line-3:** A Rs 14,120 crore project with 10 stations, nine of which will be underground.
* **Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project:** This Rs 12,200 crore project spans 29 km and will feature 20 elevated and 2 underground stations.
* **Elevated Eastern Freeway Extension:** This Rs 3,310 crore project will connect South Mumbai to Thane.
* **Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) project Phase-1:** This Rs 2,550 crore project includes construction of major roads, bridges, and other infrastructure.
* **Thane Municipal Corporation Building:** This Rs 700 crore project will house most municipal offices in a central location.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will disburse the 18th installment of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi, worth Rs 20,000 crore, to over 9.4 crore farmers. He will also unveil over 7,500 projects under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), worth Rs 1,920 crore, and inaugurate 9,200 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) with a combined turnover of Rs 1,300 crore.
This visit will further highlight the Prime Minister’s focus on infrastructure development and rural upliftment ahead of the crucial state elections.
