**KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA** – PETRONAS, through Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM), has signed a five-year gas sales agreement with Sabah Electricity Sdn. Bhd (SESB), ensuring the continued supply of 16 million standard cubic feet of gas per day to the state of Sabah. The agreement, signed on June 30th and formally exchanged on October 1st, marks a crucial step in securing Sabah’s energy future.
“This Gas Sales Agreement is a testament to our enduring partnership with SESB and our shared ambition in securing a sustainable energy future for Sabah,” said MPM Senior Vice President Datuk Ir. Bacho Pilong.
SESB CEO Ir. Ts. Mohd Yaakob Jaafar echoed this sentiment, stating that the agreement is “key to meeting the state’s energy demands with reliable and sustainable solutions.”
