**London, UK -** Prime Video has announced a new spinoff series focusing on Frances Neagley, a beloved character from the popular “Reacher” series. “The Untitled Neagley Project” will star Maria Sten, who previously portrayed the character in the main series.

The spinoff will see Neagley, a private investigator and part of Jack Reacher’s circle, embark on a dangerous quest for justice when a close friend is killed in a suspicious accident. Drawing upon her skills learned from Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley will face menacing forces in her pursuit of the truth.

Sten expressed her excitement about the project, highlighting the character’s complexity and quirkiness. “I love doing character work, that’s how I was trained,” she stated, “I read all the books that she was in… I got into what I felt was her psyche.”

While acknowledging the “Reacher” spirit, Sten assured fans that the spinoff will have its own distinct flavour. “It’s still ‘Reacher’,” she said, “It’s still fun, splashy action and quick dialogue but it has something that’s Neagley, not Reacher. It’s the same fun tone but [the writers] make it its own.”

The series, developed by “Reacher” creator Nick Santora and “Law & Order” writer Nicholas Wootton, will be co-showrun by both, who will also serve as executive producers. Production will be handled by Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television, and CBS Studios.

While a release date is yet to be confirmed, “The Untitled Neagley Project” will be available exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories.

“Reacher,” starring Alan Ritchson, is based on the “Jack Reacher” book series by Lee Child and is currently in production for Season 3. The spinoff will delve into the backstory of the enigmatic Neagley, a character created by Child and brought to life by Sten in the original series.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the expansion of the “Reacher” universe and the chance to explore the world of Frances Neagley in a new light.
