**ALIBAG:** Raigad district is buzzing with excitement as it prepares to welcome Navratri celebrations following the recently concluded Ganeshotsav. The nine-day festival promises a flurry of religious, cultural, social, and educational programs organized by various mandals across the district.
**Grand Installations:**
This year, a total of 4,496 locations in the district will host Durga puja, with 1,336 installations of Durga Mata idols and 3,160 locations dedicating themselves to idol worship. The preparations are in full swing, with women thronging markets on Wednesday to procure decorative materials, flowers, and puja supplies for the auspicious occasion.
**Community Involvement:**
Mandal members, locals, and youth are actively participating in the festivities, ensuring a vibrant celebration in both urban and rural areas. Several mandals have planned a variety of events, including sports competitions, educational programs, and social gatherings over the nine days.

The Raigad police have confirmed that installations will take place at 4,496 locations within their jurisdiction, including 1,336 idol installations. Of these, 1,143 are public installations, and 193 are private.
