**Hyderabad, September 30, 2024:** The results of the much-anticipated ‘TG DSC-2024’ exam, conducted by the Telangana Education Department for recruitment of teachers, were announced today. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy released the results at the Secretariat at 11 AM. The general ranking list is now available on the official website.
The Education Department had released the DSC notification on March 1st for filling 11,062 teacher posts. Candidates had appeared for the exam between July 18th and August 5th. The results include only marks and rankings. The merit list of selected candidates will be released district-wise to the DEOs according to the Merit Cum Roster system.
The final list of candidates, based on the general ranking list and reservations, is expected to be announced after verification of documents.
The 2024 DSC notification was released on February 29th for filling 11,062 teacher posts. The exam was conducted by the Revanth government from July 18th to August 5th, witnessing the participation of 2.45 lakh candidates.
A strong competition for the limited teacher posts was observed, particularly in districts like Vikarabad, where the ratio of candidates per post ranged from 50 to 100.
The notification included 6,508 SGT posts, 2,629 school assistant posts, 727 language Pandit posts, 182 PET posts, 220 school assistant posts in the special category, and 796 SGT posts.
The Telangana government’s swift release of results within a short timeframe is being lauded.
