Union Home Minister Amit Shah has strongly criticized Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for his comment about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ouster, calling it “distasteful and disgraceful.” The remark came after Kharge experienced a fainting episode during a campaign rally in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.
Kharge, after regaining his composure, said he would not die until Modi was removed from power. This statement, Shah argued, was an unnecessary personal attack on the Prime Minister and reflected the “hate and fear” Congress leaders harbor for Modi.
Shah, in his statement on X (formerly Twitter), expressed concern for Kharge’s health, saying he prayed for his long life and wished he would live to see the creation of a “Viksit Bharat” (developed India) by 2047.
Kharge, who was diagnosed with a syncopal attack, received medical attention at the Kathua district hospital.
