Sat Sep 28 03:04:39 UTC 2024: ## Kejriwal Accuses BJP of Inducting Corrupt Leaders, Questions RSS’s Silence

**New Delhi:** Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener and former Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, launched a scathing attack on both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Friday, accusing the BJP of inducting “corrupt” leaders into the party.

During a speech in the Delhi assembly, Kejriwal questioned RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat about the BJP’s acceptance of leaders with corruption allegations. He cited a letter he had written to Bhagwat, asking, “Is Mohan Bhagwat satisfied with Modi ji’s decision to induct the most corrupt leaders in the BJP by scaring them through ED and CBI?”

Kejriwal specifically highlighted the case of Ajit Pawar, who was accused of a Rs 70,000 crore scam by Prime Minister Modi in June 2023, yet was brought into the BJP and made Deputy Chief Minister just five days later. “Do you have any shame?” Kejriwal asked, targeting the BJP’s alleged hypocrisy.

He also pointed out instances like Himanta Biswa Sarma, who was labelled corrupt by the BJP in Assam in 2015, only to be inducted into the party a month later. “These are 25 jewels,” Kejriwal sarcastically remarked, referring to the numerous opposition leaders allegedly brought into the BJP.

Kejriwal further criticized the RSS, stating that their duty has been reduced to “laying carpets” for the BJP, while their own members struggle to get tickets. “How can RSS members accept this?” he questioned, highlighting the alleged disconnect between the RSS’s principles and the BJP’s actions.

Kejriwal previously posed five questions to the RSS chief, urging him to take responsibility for the BJP’s alleged deviations from ethical governance. He accused the BJP of using the ED and CBI to threaten opposition parties, further emphasizing his concerns about political stability and ethical governance.
