**Chennai, India:** India secured a resounding victory in the first Test against Bangladesh in Chennai on Sunday, with veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja playing a pivotal role in the triumph.
The duo put on a 199-run partnership in the first innings, where Ashwin smashed a century. Their combined efforts with the ball saw them claim nine wickets in the second innings, as Bangladesh crumbled for 234 runs.
