Sun Sep 22 14:12:31 UTC 2024: ## Kejriwal Challenges RSS Chief, Demands Accountability on BJP’s Practices
**New Delhi, India:** Former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has once again launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP, this time directly confronting RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat. In a public meeting at Jantar Mantar, Kejriwal posed five pointed questions to Bhagwat, demanding accountability for the BJP’s perceived use of central agencies to target opposition leaders and topple governments.
Kejriwal questioned the RSS’s stance on the BJP’s policy of inducting allegedly corrupt individuals into the party, citing the recent inclusion of several controversial figures. He further challenged Bhagwat on the BJP’s practice of retiring veteran leaders like LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi at the age of 75, while seemingly exempting Modi from this rule.
“The way Modiji is breaking other parties across the country…is this right for the democracy of the country? Don’t you think this is harmful to Indian democracy?” Kejriwal asked, pointing to the BJP’s alleged misuse of agencies like the ED and CBI.
Kejriwal also highlighted the BJP’s alleged attempts to tarnish his and his party leaders’ reputation by labelling them as “corrupt.” He emphasized his commitment to honesty and service, stating that he resigned as chief minister after being granted bail in the excise policy case to maintain his integrity.
“I entered politics to serve the people and country, not for money or any power post,” Kejriwal declared, vowing to vacate the chief minister’s residence and live among the people.
The AAP leader called on the people to judge his honesty and vote for him in the upcoming Delhi elections, which he described as a crucial “agni pariksha” (trial by fire).
Kejriwal’s pronouncements come at a time when the AAP is gearing up for the upcoming Delhi elections. His direct challenge to the RSS leadership and his focus on alleged BJP corruption are likely to further escalate political tensions in the lead-up to the polls.
